Overview:

In this course we offer a comprehensive hands-on training to licensed physicians, registered nurses and nurse practitioners. Trainees will review facial muscles anatomy, injection techniques, patient examination facial mapping and analysis for safe injection, and how to handle complications. Botox dilution methods, preparation and storage, safety, legislation, contraindications and side effects will also be presented. Trainees will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the workshop and writing a short exam. This training and certification course is open to Canadian licensed practitioners. According to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia practicing Botox and Dermal Fillers fall within the definition of the “practice of medicine”. Scope of Practice

Admission requirement

  • Licensed Medical Doctor (MD)
  • Licensed Dentist (DDS)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Registered Naturopathic Doctor (ND)
  • International / Out of country MD holders and other Medical professionals may take the course as a Continuing Medical Education but may not be eligible to practice injection of Botox and Dermal filler in Canada. A Waiver form is required to be submitted with the registration form.

Afternoon session (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM)

  • Practice on at least 3-5 live models.
